YMO Fall Retreat 2016
TACKO is Grace's youth group for middle school aged students, grades 6 through 8. TACKO meets Sunday nights from 6:00 to 7:30 in the Parish Hall at Grace. We begin with sharing dinner together, then spend time building community with activities, games, and discussions. TACKO includes several outreach projects, as well as our annual fall retreat and laser tag. All middle schoolers are invited to attend.
The Youth Missions Organization is a dynamic, faith-based leadership development program for high school students. Since its founding in 1987, the Youth Missions Organization has worked with thousands of students from all over the world. YMO began as a response to a social injustice and a desire to change the world. YMO’s vision has remained true to this initial spark – you can change the world.
The mission of the Youth Missions Organization is to teach youth about the love of Christ through action - via local and global missions. To that end, YMO seeks to:
- Develop students as leaders in their faith
- Build the Church
- Seek Christ in all people
- Extend ourselves into the mission field
Our mission is to journey from the Me, to the We, to the One.
If you are interested in participating in the Youth Missions Organization, join us every Sunday night at 6:00pm at the Rectory at 142 E. First Street. All high school youth are welcome!
Grace Fall Festival 2016
Visiting Eve Assisted Living
The sacraments are an outward and visible sign of one's own spiritual journey. Baptism is the continual invitation to awakening. Grace Church offers Baptism during the church year on the following high holy days: The Baptism of Our Lord (January); Easter Vigil; and Pentecost, and occasional services in the summer and fall. Confirmation is held every other year. If you are interested in baptism or confirmation, please contact the Church office.
Service beyond self is a vital part of the mission of Grace Academy and we provide opportunities for all children of Grace, from our youngest toddlers through our young adults, to reach outside themselves to serve others. We strive to instill this value through hands-on activities and projects in order to discover the poverty within our own lives. Including the Youth Missions Organization's annual missions trip, other outreach projects include a diaper drive for HCS Family Services; baking bread for the Aurora Soup Kitchen; volunteering for Feed Our Starving Children; and visiting Eve Assisted Living.
