Grace Academy’s Early Childhood Program provides a safe, high-quality learning environment that enables every child to excel and grow in grace. We believe children learn best through play which fosters exploration and discovery. To that end, we provide a nurturing learning environment which promotes, supports, and honors discovery and exploration through play. We provide a range of opportunities to explore, imagine, investigate, and engage in purposeful and meaningful experiences. We understand that through play, a child actively poses problems, explores solutions, and develops understanding of real world concepts. We strive to create meaningful learning opportunities to support the social/emotional, language, cognitive, physical, and spiritual development of each child.
As a member of the National Association of Episcopal Schools (NAES), Grace Children’s Academy recognizes the Principles of Good Practice and Principal Qualities that distinguish our Academy as Episcopal. Episcopal schools are founded on the love of God and the belief that God calls us to love all of God’s children. Love, for children and their unique gifts, is the foundation of everything we do.
In the Episcopal tradition and in keeping with the vision of Grace Academy, we believe in inclusiveness and seek diversity as an integral aspect of the early childhood experience. We look for the values that unite our families, rather than those that divide. We respect and affirm the traditions of other faiths, and with that, children of all faiths are welcome. Above all, Episcopal schools exist not merely to educate, but to demonstrate and proclaim the unique worth and beauty of all human beings as creations of a loving, empowering God.
An Episcopal education begins with the premise that we are all created in love.
We believe that spiritual formation is vital to children's development. Formation is at the heart of everything we do at Grace. From Baptism to Children's Chapel through Confirmation to Missions, we strive to lay a strong foundation for a life dedicated to service beyond self and leadership in faith. We gather and celebrate in many settings, from the high holy days of Christmas and Easter to the casual and intimate gatherings of Saturday evenings and retreats. We come to seek Christ in ourselves and each other.
Worship on Sunday mornings includes Formation at 9:15 and Children's Chapel during the 10:00 service.
We look forward to meeting in person again soon! Until then, follow us on social media to see our chapel lessons.
We offer programs for middle school students, high school students, and college students, which focus on leadership development and service beyond self. Service beyond self is a vital part of the mission of Grace Academy and we provide opportunities for all children of Grace, from our youngest toddlers through our young adults, to reach outside themselves to serve others. We strive to instill this value through hands-on activities and projects in order to discover the poverty within our own lives.
